[ARCHIVED] Fort Edward woman charged with felony after Granville crash

INCIDENT SUMMARY: According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy, Deputies responded to the the Town of Granville after a 911 caller reported seeing a vehicle drive off the roadway. The caller reported that a white KIA traveling south on State Route 22 went off the roadway and struck several signs at the intersection of State Route 22 and County Route 17. It was further reported that the vehicle continued south-bound with extensive damage to the front end. 

Deputies responded to the area and located the caller and the vehicle in question on Woodell Road. The driver of the vehicle in question was identified as Patricia R. Foster, 32 of Fort Edward. Deputies also found that there was a five-year-old child in the car. Neither Foster or the child were injured in the incident and the child was picked up by a family member at the location. 

Foster appeared to be intoxicated and failed several field tests before being arrested and transported to the Law Enforcement Center in Fort Edward. Foster was processed and refused to submit to to a breath test. She was arraigned in CAP Court and ROR’d to appear in Granville Town Court on a later date.
