INCIDENT SUMMARY: According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy, on Sunday January 26, 2020, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-car motor vehicle accident on State Route 4 in the area of Waite Road, in the Town of Kingsbury. The vehicles were traveling in the opposite direction, causing a head on collision. Two occupants from the northbound vehicle were transported to Glens Falls Hospital for reported minor injuries. The second vehicle contained one occupant, who was confirmed deceased on scene. The notification of the decedent’s next of kin is pending. 

The investigation is ongoing.
