Incident Location: State Route 40 – Town of Argyle

INCIDENT SUMMARY: According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy, on December 17, 2019 the Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a serious personal injury motor vehicle accident on State Route 40 in the area of the Auction Barn diner in Argyle. The accident included two vehicles with a total of five subjects involved.

A passenger car, being driven by Samantha Humiston, age 19 of Argyle was traveling northbound on State Route 40 when it struck a pickup truck that was located in the parking lot/roadway entrance. The driver of the pickup truck was deceased on scene, and was identified as Robert Humiston, age 67 of Argyle. Three (3) additional passengers who were in the pick-up truck with Humiston have been identified as Jason Rozelle, Jason Jablonski, and Nathan Henry, all from Argyle. Rozelle and Henry are in stable condition at Albany Medical Center.

Both drivers, Samantha Humiston and Robert Humiston are not directly related.

The investigation is ongoing, and additional information will be released when available.
