INCIDENT SUMMARY:
According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy, on Monday November 25, 2019 at about 5:59 pm, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a domestic dispute that occurred on Pillar Way in the Town of Fort Ann.
Deputies arrived and began an investigation which led to the arrest of Mark E. Mattison, 51, of Pillar Way. Mattison is accused of becoming physical with a female he is familiar with and physically preventing her from leaving or calling for help. When confronted by deputies, Mattison fled on foot and out of the residence towards the back of the property. Deputies quickly caught him and he was taken into custody.
Mattison was transported to the Law Enforcement Center in Fort Edward and held for CAP arraignment. After arraignment, he was sent to the Washington County Jail with no bail.
