[ARCHIVED] Child ejected from vehicle in Kingsbury accident

According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a one car motor vehicle accident with a person ejected on Towpath Road near Company Bridge Road in the Town of Kingsbury.

Upon arrival, Deputies determined that a 2008 Subaru Outback driven by a 16 year old female was traveling north on Towpath Road when the driver lost control of the vehicle causing it to roll over. The driver was complained of neck and back pain. 

Also in the vehicle at the time was a 12 year old female that was ejected and suffered non life threatening injuries including possible arm fractures and internal injuries. Additionally, a 14 year old male suffered possible arm fractures and back injuries as well as a 17 year old female who complained of neck and back pain. 

All were transported to the Glens Falls Hospital for treatment. A medical helicopter was requested to the scene however was unable to fly due to weather. 

Preliminary contributing factors appear to be speed and driver inexperience however the accident remains under investigation.
