INCIDENT SUMMARY: According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office has arrested Aldemar E. Vadnais for petit larceny following an investigation. The Sheriff’s Office was contacted by a Thomas Avenue resident who reported that they had hired Vadnais to complete work on their home. Vadnais provided an estimate to the residents who then paid him over eight hundred dollars for materials and labor. Vadnais said he purchased materials but did not completed any of the work. Vadnais turned himself in at the Law Enforcement Center in Fort Edward where he was processed and later released after arraignment.
