[ARCHIVED] Woman airlifted after Kingsbury accident

INCIDENT SUMMARY: According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a personal injury motor vehicle accident at Dix Avenue and Vaughn Road in the Town of Kingsbury. The accident involved an ambulance from Fort Ann EMS and one passenger vehicle. The ambulance was traveling westbound on Dix Avenue, transporting one patient at the time of the collision. A 2005 Chevrolet SUV was traveling southbound on Vaughn Road into the intersection of Vaughn Road and Dix Avenue. The Chevrolet vehicle was being operated by Kassandra Martinez, age 25. An adult male passenger was also in the vehicle. Martinez was airlifted to Albany Medical Center for treatment.

Three EMS members were on board the ambulance, and were treated at Glens Falls Hospital for minor injuries. The Warren County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Unit assisted on scene with accident reconstruction.

The Driver of the ambulance was identified as Cody Dunbar of Hudson Falls. All EMS members were treated and released from Glens Falls Hospital. The driver of the 2005 Chevrolet SUV, Kassandra Martinez is in stable condition at Albany Medical Center.

The investigation is ongoing.
