According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy, on April 23, 2019 at 6:48 pm, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an accident involving a single motorcycle and one occupant on County Route 113 in the Town of Easton.  

The investigation indicated that a 2009 Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling northbound on County Route 113 in the Town of Easton, when the male operator lost control of the motorcycle. The motorcycle traveled off of the roadway into the ditch, and struck a tree.  The operator was pronounced dead at the scene by the Washington County Coroner. The identity of the operator is being withheld pending notification of the family. The incident is still under investigation and additional information will be released as they become available.
