According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call at a South Main Street residence in Salem for a report of a violent domestic dispute. After an investigation, it was determined that Ryan V. Megna choked a female he was familiar with and threw her phone onto the roof to prevent her from calling for help. Megna was arrested and transported to the Salem sub-station where he was processed and held for arraignment.  Megna was ROR'd by the Court at arraignment with the issuance of an order of protection for the victim. She was not seriously injured as a result of the incident.
