[ARCHIVED] Man airlifted after White Creek accident

July 5, 2018 - 11:58 AM - According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to State Route 22 at the intersection with County Route 68 in the Town of White Creek for a car vs. motorcycle accident.  

A passenger vehicle driven by Alyssa M. Pelletier, 27, of Bennington, Vermont was south on State Route 22 and attempted a left hand turn onto County Route 68 in front of a northbound motorcycle causing a collision.  The motorcycle, a 2014 Harley Davidson, operated by Bertrand Littlefair, 50, of East Rockaway, NY. Both he and his passenger, Eileen A. O’Connor, 43, East Rockaway, NY were ejected off the motorcycle.

Littlefair was flown by medical helicopter to the Albany Medical Center with serious lower and upper body injuries. O’Connor was transported to the Southern Vermont Medical Center also with serious lower and upper body injuries. Pelletier and a 6 year old child in her vehicle at the time of the crash were transported to the Southern Vermont Medical Center for evaluation and later released.

Sheriff’s Investigators continue to investigate and anyone who may have witnessed the accident is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 518-747-4623.

A portion of State Route 22 near the accident scene was reduced to one lane traffic while the accident scene was being cleared.
