[ARCHIVED] Roll over accident leads to felony DWI for Hartford man

GAUTHIER, RAYMOND D

According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a roll over motor vehicle accident on State Route 22 in the area of Shields Road in the Town of Jackson. 


Upon arrival deputies located Raymond D. Gauthier, 48, of Dick Hill Road in Hartford. Gauthier told deputies he was not injured and that he had been southbound on State Route 22 when he lost control of his 2002 Ford F-150 pickup. Gauthier’s vehicle spun across the highway and rolled into a ditch.


Upon further investigation, Gauthier was found to be intoxicated and was arrested. He was transported to the Salem sub-station where he was processed and tested a .18% blood alcohol content. Gauthier also has a 2010 conviction for driving while intoxicated. Gauthier was charged with felony DWI based on the previous previous conviction within the past 10 years, felony aggravated unlicensed operation in the first degree, several vehicle and traffic violations relating to the accident, unlawful possession of marijuana and operating a vehicle without an ignition interlock device.  Gauthier was transported to Central Arraignment and later sent to the Washington County Jail with no bail.
