According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy, the Washington County Sheriff’sOffice arrested James E. Bushee, 47, of Olive Street in Fort Edward for Offering a False Instrument for Filing 1st, a class E felony and Petit Larceny. 

A joint investigation between the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and Department of Social Services identified Bushee received SNAP benefits he was not entitled to. The benefits valued $341.

Mr. Bushee was also charged with providing a falsely signed document to the agency in order to obtain the benefits.  Bushee was processed and issued an appearance ticket to appear in the Town of Fort Edward Court at a later date.
