[ARCHIVED] Fort Edward man charged with felony DWI

According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy, on February 23, 2018 at 07:56, deputies responded to a report of a male subject that drove into a business parking lot on Upper Broadway, stopped at the gas pumps and was now asleep at the wheel. 

Deputies arrived and located Nathan D. Baker 32, of Burgoyne Avenue passed out at the wheel of his running vehicle. Deputies were able to wake Baker up to perform several field sobriety tests. 

After further investigation, it was determined that Baker was intoxicated. He was arrested and transported to the Law Enforcement Center in Fort Edward for processing. He submitted to a DataMaster test producing a result of .20% blood alcohol content.

Baker has a prior conviction for driving while intoxicated, so he was charged with felony DWI and felony Aggravated DWI >.18 bac. He was released to a third party and is due in Fort Edward Town Court on a later date.
