[ARCHIVED] Hartford man charged with felony after damaging vehicle

According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy, members of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Hartford man on a felony charge after deputies investigated a domestic that occurred on February 11, 2018 on State Route 40 in the Town of Hartford.

Jarred A. Wood, 22, of Hartford was charged with felony criminal mischief in the 3rd  degree after a 911 call was made accusing Wood of smashing a vehicle window during a domestic dispute. The victim and a passenger were seated in the vehicle at the time and reported no injuries. Wood suffered superficial lacerations to his hand but didn’t require medical treatment.                      

A felony charge of criminal mischief in the third degree is filed when a person is accused of damaging property of another person in the amount exceeding two hundred fifty dollars.           Wood was arraigned at central arraignment in Fort Edward and remanded to the Washington County Correctional Facility for the lack of $3,000 cash bail or $7,500 bail bond.
