According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Granville man on felony charges after a report of a domestic dispute. Gordon J. Rescott, 18, of County Route 12 was charged with felony reckless endangerment and felony possession of a weapon after a firearm was discharged in the residence during a dispute.
Rescott is accused of discharging a shotgun during a dispute and subsequent struggle with a person he is familiar with. No injuries were reported as a result of the weapon discharge.
Rescott was processed on the felonies as well as misdemeanor menacing and a violation harassment.He was sent to the Washington County Jail after central arraignment for lack of $1500 cash bail or $3000 secure bond . He will appear in the Town of Granville Court at a later date.
