[ARCHIVED] Granville man faces charges after domestic dispute

According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy, on December 10, 2010 at 2:10 am, Deputies responded to a residence on Oatman Lane in the Town of Granville for a reported physical domestic dispute. Deputies interviewed a female victim at the scene who reported that Josh Crum  had  grabbed her around the neck causing her to have difficulty breathing.

The victim further advised that Crum  grabbed her hair and slammed  her to the floor and  head butting her several times. The victim was not seriously injured.  Crum took the victim’s cell phone preventing her to call 911 but after a struggle, she was able to regain her phone and call for help.

Crum fled the scene and was located at a neighbors house. When Deputies attempted to place Crum  into custody he refused to cooperate and began to resist officers. Crum was taken into custody after a struggle and deployment of a taser. He was processed at the Law Enforcement Center in Fort Edward and  sent to the Washington County Jail.

Deputies received minor injuries while trying to take Crum into custody, mainly minor  lacerations and scratches however are not expected to miss any time at work .
