[ARCHIVED] Woman charged with DWI after crashing into parked cars


According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy, on December 1, 2017 at about 7:38 PM,the Washington County Sheriff’s Office arrested Lynn M. Gaulin, age 49, of Hudson Falls, NY for driving while intoxicated after investigating a single vehicle crash on Lower Oak Street in the Town of Fort Edward.

Gaulin was operating a 2017 Nissan southbound on Lower Oak Street when she drove off the roadway and crashed into two parked vehicles. Gaulin was not injured and did not require medical attention. After failing field sobriety tests, Gaulin was transported to the Law Enforcement Center in Fort Edward where she refused the breath test while being processed. 

Gaulin was subsequently charged with moved from lane unsafely, failed to keep right, refusal to takea breath test and misdemeanor driving while intoxicated. Ms. Gaulin was released after posting $250 pre-arraignment cash bail and is due in the Fort Edward TownCourt on a later date.

Deputy Jason Diamond made the arrest.
