District Attorney Tony Jordan announced that Melissa Gonyea pled guilty to the Indictment pending against her on November 16, 2017.  Based on this plea, she has agreed to cooperate against her co-defendant, Kevin Gonyea.

If she fails to cooperate truthfully, then she will be subject to the maximum sentence on each of the seven (7) felony charges. If she does cooperate fully then her agreed upon sentence would be to two (2) consecutive prison sentences of 2 1/3 – 7 years, the maximum on the D felony  Hindering charges for a total of 4 2/3-14 years and a 1-3 year sentence on the offering a false instrument for filing to run concurrent to the above.
