[ARCHIVED] Fort Edward man charged after incident with sales clerk

According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Fort Edward man after an incident with a Greenwich sales clerk.

John H. Lutz, 54,  of Blodgett Road in Fort Edward was arrested on Saturday May 13 , 2017 and charged with forcible touching, a class A misdemeanor. Lutz was identified by tips from the public after the Sheriff’s Office asked for assistance through social media.

Lutz is accused of touching a sales clerk in an inappropriate manner at a store in the Greenwich Plaza. The incident was also captured on store surveillance cameras.

Lutz was arraigned in the Town of Greenwich Court and released upon his own recognizance. He is scheduled to reappear on June 12, 2017 at 5:00 pm.

The arrest was made by Deputy C.J. Davidsen.
