[ARCHIVED] Kingsbury man charged with felonies following investigation

According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy, on Wednesday April 26, 2017, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office arrested Robert Nolan Middleton, 62, of Kingsbury, NY and San Francisco CA. Middleton was charged with two counts of Attempted Use of a child in a Sexual Performance, a class D Felony and two counts of Attempted Promoting Prostitution 1st a Class C Felony.

Middleton is accused of offering children, under the age of 15, money to perform sexual acts on each other and also for offering children, under the age of 15, money to engage in sexual conduct with each other. 

Middleton was arrested, processed and then arraigned in the Town of Kingsbury Court. He was remanded to the Washington County jail without bail. The case is being forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office for review, possible additional charges and possible Grand Jury action.

Based upon the Sheriff Office’s investigation it is believed there may be more victims, possibly over the course of several years.
