According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy, on April 13, 2017, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Hudson Falls woman.
Jonna A. Germain, 40, of Hudson Falls, New York was arrested based on the results of an investigation by the Washington County Department of Social Services and the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
Germain is accused of receiving public benefits that she was not entitled to. She was arrested and processed at the Law Enforcement Center in Fort Edward on a charge of grand larceny in the 4th degree, a class E felony.
Germain was released on an appearance ticket to appear in Fort Edward Town Court on May 2, 2017 at 1:30pm.
The case will be forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office for review and possible action of the Grand Jury. Additional charges are possible. The arrest was made by Investigator Michael McWhorter.
