According to Sheriff Jeffrey Murphy, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence on Deer Run Drive in the Town of Kingsbury at 12:19 pm on Thursday afternoon (2/23/17) for a report of at least two victims possibly suffering from apparent overdoses.

Deputies arrived and located an adult male with no pulse and an adult female who was unconscious. Deputies administered multiple doses of Narcan to both subjects and both subjects ultimately regained consciousness.

Sheriff’s investigators seized evidence of drug use including drug paraphernalia from the residence. At least one person who identified himself as a friend of the victims started CPR after calling 911.

Both subjects were transported alert and conscious to the Glens Falls Hospital by EMS crews from Fort Edward and Moreau.

The incident is in the early stages of the investigation as investigators work to determine the circumstances surrounding the apparent overdose. One of the victims has a history of seizures and investigators are looking at the possibility that she may have suffered a medical event as she tried to help the male overdose victim.
