[ARCHIVED] Fort Edward man charged with felony

According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy, on Tuesday February 14, 2017, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office arrested Dustin A. Mingo, age 21, of Fort Edward. 

Mingo was charged with criminal contempt in the 1st  degree, a class E Felony. He is accused of violating an order of protection by having contact with a subject he was barred from having contact with as a result of a previous conviction for criminal contempt in the 2nd degree in August of 2016. In addition,  Mingo had recently been arrested for criminal contempt 1st on January 16th 2017 and continued to violate the order of protection.

 Mingo was arrested and processed at the Law Enforcement Center in Fort Edward. He was arraigned in the Town of Fort Edward Court and remanded to the Washington County jail in lieu of $15,000 cash bail or $30,000 secure bond. 

The case is being forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office for review, possible additional charges and possible Grand Jury action. The case was investigated by Deputy Jason Diamond.
