[ARCHIVED] Woman seriously injured in Hebron accident

According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office investigated a one car roll-over motor vehicle accident on January 31, 2017.

At 11:19 AM, deputies were dispatched to the accident on Middle Road in the Town of Hebron. Upon arriving, a female, later identified as Susan J. Allen, 58, of Chamberlin Mills Road in Hebron, was found out of the vehicle lying on the ground.

Allen was transported by Granville EMS to the Glens Falls Hospital with serious chest and internal injuries. A preliminary investigation shows that Allen lost control of 2004 Subaru hatchback while rounding a corner. The vehicle then struck and embankment and flipped over. A medical helicopter was called however could not fly due to weather conditions.

The accident is still under investigation as deputies try to determine what caused Allen to lose control of the vehicle.

Hebron Fire and EMS along with Granville and Argyle EMS assisted at the scene. The case is being handled by Deputy Matt Jackson.
