According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy, on January 3, 2017 the Washington County Sheriff’s Office arrested Aaron N. Minor, 34, of Greenwich, New York. Minor was charged with failure to properly register as a sex offender, a class D felony.

Minor was charged based on an investigation by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office. He was arrested and processed at the Law Enforcement Center in Fort Edward and later arraigned and remanded to the Washington County Correctional Facility. Minor is a Level 1 registered sex offender because of a conviction for possession of child pornography. 

The case was investigated by deputies Travis Earl, Brandon Villano and Lt. Aron Bassett. The case will be forwarded to the District Attorney’s office for review and possible Grand Jury action.
