Upon arrival, sheriff’s deputies located two vehicles in the intersection. Martin F. Depaul, 39, of Argyle, New York was operating a 2006 Dodge pick-up truck east on State Route 196 when he attempted a left hand turn onto County Route 43. The westbound vehicle, a 2003 Dodge sedan, was driven by David Lewis, 60, of Fort Ann, New York.
Depaul was treated at the scene by EMS and declined to be transported to the hospital. Flint was transported to Glens Falls Hospital by the Fort Edward Rescue Squad for neck, back, head and leg pain. Depaul was issued citations for failing to yield the right of way and operating an un-inspected motor vehicle.
A portion of State Route 196 was limited to one lane of traffic while the accident was being cleared. Kingsbury Fire, Fort Edward EMS and the State Police also assisted at the scene.
