[ARCHIVED] Sheriff's Office participates in annual marijuana eradication

According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy, during the week of August 29th, 2016, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, assisted by New York State Police Aviation, New York State Police CNET, Cambridge-Greenwich Police Department, Fort Edward Police Department, Granville Police Department, Whitehall Police Department, Glens Falls Police Department, Washington County Probation Department, New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, New York State Forest Rangers, and New York State DOCCS (Parole) conducted marijuana eradication throughout Washington County.

Members of law enforcement eradicated 1208 plants in thirty-five locations throughout Washington County. The total weight of the plants was 1.2 tons and the estimated street value of is over three million dollars.
