[ARCHIVED] Falsified documents leads to arrest for Queensbury woman

According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy, on Thursday August 18, 2016, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office arrested Brittany N. Porlier, 26, of Queensbury, New York. Porlier was charged with offering a false instrument for filing in the 2nd degree, a class A misdemeanor.

Porlier is accused of providing a false instrument for filing that was submitted to the Washington County Department of Social Services. The document contained false information regarding verification of Porlier’s housing status. The crime was discovered prior to Porlier receiving any benefits.

Porlier was arrested and processed at the Law Enforcement Center in Fort Edward. She was issued an appearance ticket and released to appear in Fort Edward Town Court at later date. The case was investigated by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and the Department of Social Services.
