According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy, on Monday August 8th 2016, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office arrested Corey Collard, 21, of Vermont Route 153 West Pawlet, VT.

Collard was charged with rape in the 3rd degree, a class E Felony and disseminating indecent material to a minor in the 1st degree, a class D Felony.

Collard is accused of having sexual intercourse with a girl that was under the age of 17 and sending the same girl indecent nude videos of himself via cell phone.

Collard turned himself in at the Law Enforcement Center in Fort Edward. He was arrested and later arraigned in the Village of Fort Edward Court and held in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 secure bond.

The case is being forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office for review and possible action of the Grand Jury. Additional charges are possible.
