According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy, on Tuesday July 12th , 2016, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and the Whitehall Police Department arrested Jennifer L. Alden, 36, of Whitehall.

Alden was charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance in the 5th degree and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 5th degree, both class D felonies.

The arrest comes as a result of a Grand Jury Indictment alleging Alden sold LSD during an investigation in the Village of Whitehall.

Alden is being held at the Washington County Jail awaiting arraignment in Washington County Court. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted during the investigation by the New York State Police, and the Whitehall Police Department.
