[ARCHIVED] Assistance requested in locating subject

Carota

According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy, on Friday June 10th 2016, Robert Carota, 51, pled to a felony criminal contempt charge and several lesser charges in Washington County Court.

Shortly after leaving County Court, Carota was observed violating the same order of protection that he had just pled guilty to. Carota fled the scene and was able to evade officers before he could be arrested.

Later that same evening a Deputy stopped a vehicle on Route 4 in the Town of Kingsbury. As the vehicle stopped, Carota was observed exiting the passenger’s side of the vehicle and again fled into the woods in direct violation of the same order of protection.

A felony arrest warrant has been issued for Carota. If anyone knows the whereabouts of Carota they are asked to call the Washington County Sheriff’s Office at 746-4623
