According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence on State Route 29 in the Town of Greenwich for a reported domestic dispute on Monday June 6, 2016 at 4:37 pm.
Upon arriving, deputies were met by an uncooperative male subject who initially refused to give any information. Upon further investigation, the male subject identified himself and indicated that there had been a dispute with a female prior to the deputies arriving. He told deputies that the female left and was possibly headed out of state.
A short time later, deputies located the female in question across the street on the property of a neighbor. She was later identified as Jane W. Pytko, 52, of Washington Massachusetts. Pytko was highly intoxicated and uncooperative. She began walking in traffic on State Route 29 and tried to physically fight with deputies.
After being told she was under arrest, Pytko began to struggle and resist arrest. Deputies were able to get her into custody and out of the roadway. She was transported to the Salem sub station where she refused to be processed. She was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
Pytko was arraigned in Town of Greenwich Court and sent to the Washington County Correctional Facility for lack of $250 cash bail or $1,000 bail bond. She is due back in Greenwich Court on June 13, 2016.
The incident was handled by Deputies Matt Ashton, Todd Riche and Investigator Harold Spiezio III.
