[ARCHIVED] Kingsbury man charged with felony after domestic incident

According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy, on Friday May 13, 2016 at 4:33 pm the Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence on County Route 41 in the Town of Kingsbury for a report of a subject out of control, breaking items.

Upon arrival, deputies identified the suspect as Jarid Swan, of County Route 41 in Kingsbury. During the investigation, it was learned that in a previous incident, Swan shoved a female he was familiar with, causing her to fall and break her wrist. Swan was arrested and transported to the Law Enforcement Center in Fort Edward. He was processed and charged with assault in the second degree, a class D felony.

Swan was arraigned in the Town of Kingsbury Court and remanded to the Washington County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $ 5,000 secure bond. The case is being forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office for review, and possible action of the Grand Jury. The case was handled by Investigator Kristen Hardy with Deputies John LaTour and Kyle Kolar.
