[ARCHIVED] Report of suspicious vehicle leads to arrests

According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report by a landowner of a suspicious vehicle on New Swamp Road in the Town of Kingsbury on April 18, 2016 at 1:22 pm.

While sheriff’s deputies were responding, the people involved in the incident left the scene in a vehicle. The landowner began to follow the vehicle while giving dispatchers updates of their location. The vehicle in question was intercepted on State Route 40 in Argyle by a sheriff’s patrol.

Upon further investigation and interviews, it was learned that the occupants of the vehicle in question had been observed having sexual contact outside of the vehicle along New Swamp Road. The two were identified as Joseph E. Fuller, 79, of Burgoyne Avenue in Hudson Falls and Heather S. Clark, 37, of North Oak Street in Hudson Falls.

During the investigation, it was determined that an agreement had been made between Fuller and Clark for the exchange of money for sexual acts. Also, when confronted by the landowner, Fuller drove off and at the landowner as he fled the scene.

Fuller was arrested and charged with reckless endangerment in the 2nd degree, public lewdness and patronizing a prostitute in the 3rd degree. He was processed and transported to the hospital for a complaint of a medical issue. Clark was arrested and charged with prostitution. She was processed and released with an appearance ticket.
