According to Sheriff Jeffrey Murphy, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office has arrested Lawrence C. Wolfe III, 27, of the Fort Ann.

The arrest is the result of an investigation into phone calls that Wolfe placed from the Washington County Correctional Facility using the inmate phone system to a person who has an order of protection against him. The order states that Wolfe is to have no contact with this person. He was being held on charges stemming from a domestic incident from March 7, 2016.

Wolfe has been charged with aggravated family offense, a class E felony and criminal contempt in the second degree, a class A misdemeanor.

Wolfe was arraigned in the Fort Edward Town Court and remanded back to the Washington County Correctional facility without bail.

Sheriff’s Investigator Matt Lohret made the arrest.
