On February 26, 2016, Communications Officer Jason Lloyd of Argyle, was issued one of our “9-1-1 Lifesaver” awards for his role as the Advanced Emergency Medical Dispatcher on January 29, 2016 in which he received a call reporting a medical emergency / cardiac arrest in the Town of Fort Edward. The award was presented to Communications Officer Lloyd on behalf of our office by a special guest teaching a class in our area, International Academies of Emergency Dispatch - IAED ED-Q Instructor, Tony Guido.
Through continued efforts of all involved - the caller, law enforcement, fire and emergency medical personnel, the cardiac arrest was reversed!
Communications Officer Lloyd is a 13 year veteran of the Department of Public Safety and since the inception of our Communications Awards Program in 2013 has received two other awards – a “9-1-1 Stork” award for successfully assisting in the pre-hospital delivery of a baby and a “9-1-1 Lifesaver” award for his role in a pre-hospital cardiac arrest reversal.
Congratulations and Thank You Jason for being part of our team!
