[ARCHIVED] Pedestrian killed in accident

According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy, on Thursday February 19, 2015, at 6:03 pm, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle vs. pedestrian motor vehicle accident on State Route 29 in front of the Middle Falls Fire Department.

A female pedestrian was killed as a result of the accident and Sheriff’s investigators are working to determine what happened. Minimal information is available at this time as the incident is in the initial stages of the investigations. The name of the victim is being withheld until the next of kin is notified.

A portion of State Route 29 in the immediate area was closed as Sheriff Officials worked the scene. Several witnesses have been interviewed and the Sheriff’s Office is requesting anyone who may have information or may have witnessed the accident to contact Investigations at 518-746-2494.
