According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy, during the course of the last several weeks there have been 4 burglaries in the southern part of Washington County. The burglaries have occurred in the Towns of Jackson, Greenwich and White Creek. These burglaries have occurred between the hours of 9 am and 7 pm while the home owners were away from home. The suspects have taken cash, jewelry and medications and forced entry into some of the homes.

The Sheriff’s Office would like to warn the residents to be on the lookout for any suspicious activity in their neighborhoods and to report it to the Sheriff’s Office or NYSP. If observed try to get as much information as possible such as clothing description, vehicle description and license plates but do not approach the suspects.
