According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy, on Monday December 7, 2015, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office arrested Ashley N. Hunt, 20, from Salem, NY. Hunt was charged with rape in the 2nd degree and criminal sexual act in the 2nd degree, both class D felonies.

The investigation determined that Hunt had sexual contact with a 14 year old, male victim. The charge is due to the male being under the legal age to consent to sexual activity in New York State.

Hunt was arraigned in the Town of Argyle Court and remanded to the Washington County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $ 5,000 secure bond. The investigation is still ongoing, and additional arrests are expected.
