According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy, on Wednesday, November 18, 2015, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office arrested Nicole M. Thaxton, age 28 of Fort Edward for two counts of Forgery 2nd, a Class D felony.
Thaxton forged a relatives name on a Department of Social Services form. The form was then provided to two subjects to gain services and temporary housing.
Thaxton was arraigned in the Town of Fort Edward Court, and remanded to the Washington County Jail in lieu of $5,000/10,000 bail.
The arrest was the result of the collaboration between the Department of Social Service and the Sheriff’s Office.
