[ARCHIVED] Victim in fatal Kingsbury fire identified

According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy, an autopsy was performed today at Albany Medical Center on the body found in the fatal fire that occurred the evening of Wednesday January 7th 2015 at 1734 Hinds Rd. in the Town of Kingsbury.

The victim was positively identified as Marilyn Mcintosh, age 63, the sole occupant of the home. Her cause of death was ruled as asphyxia due to carbon monoxide and smoke inhalation and there was nothing suspicious found about her death.

At this time the fire is believed to have started in a rear enclosed porch. This area was known to be where the owner smoked and had a portable Kerosene heater running. In addition there was power to the porch. At this time the exact cause of the fire is undetermined but is not believed to be suspicious.
