According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy,on October 11, 2015 at 2:02 AM, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to New Swamp Road in the Town of Kingsbury for a report of a rollover motor vehicle accident
Upon arrival, sheriff’s deputies located a 2003 Ford pickup truck, rolled over and partially submerged in water. The driver, Joespeh M. Perras, 50, of Lilly Pond Road in Granville told officers that he was alone when he lost control of the vehicle, went down an embankment when the vehicle then rolled over into the water.
Perras appeared intoxicated and failed several field sobriety tests. He was arrested and taken to the Law Enforcement Center in Fort Edward where he was processed. Perras tested a .12% blood alcohol content. He was charged with driving while intoxicated, operating with a BAC of .08% or more and issued several traffic tickets. He was released to a third party and is due in Kingsbury Court on a later date.
