As you may know by following your local news / weather sources, and of course, our Public Safety social media sites, we have been closely following the development of "Hurricane Joaquin" and the potential effects on our area.

As of this morning (Friday), the National Weather Service's National Hurricane Center is predicting that Hurricane Joaquin will track further east and out to sea, potentially sparing much of the eastern seaboard the major effects of a coastal storm. As with any weather, there's always a chance things could change!

If you're interested in tracking Joaquin, you can check the National Hurricane Center's site here: http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/
