[ARCHIVED] Dresden woman charged with felonies

According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy, on Tuesday July 28, 2015, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office arrested Lynn M. Panoushek, 29, of Dresden, New York. Panoushek was charged with grand larceny in the 3rd degree, a class D Felony, welfare fraud in the 3rd degree, a class D Felony and offering a false instrument for filing in the 1st degree, a class E Felony.

Based on the results of an investigation by the Washington County Department of Social Services and the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Panoushek is accused of filing reports with false information and failing to report household income while receiving public assistance benefits. As a result, Panoushek received $3,269 in benefits she was not entitled to.

Panoushek was arrested, processed at the Fort Edward Sheriff’s Office and issued an appearance ticket to appear in the Town of Fort Edward Court on August 25, 2015 at 1:30 PM. The case is being forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office for review and possible Grand Jury action.
