[ARCHIVED] Two injured after motorcycle strikes deer


According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy, the Sheriff’s Office responded to a personal injury motorcycle accident on State Route 4 in the Town of Fort Edward on July 10, 2015 at approximately 7:50pm.

A single motorcycle was traveling southbound on State Route 4 carrying two people, when they struck a deer in their lane of travel. Both subjects were ejected from the motorcycle.

The passenger on the motorcycle suffered minor injuries, and was transported to Glens Falls Hospital. The driver had possible serious injuries, and was transported to Albany Medical Center by medical helicopter. The names of the victims are being withheld, pending family notifications. The deer was killed in the accident.

The case is being handled by Deputy Kyle Kolar.
