[ARCHIVED] Two injured in Salem accident

According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office investigated a 1 car accident on Blind Buck Road in the Town of Salem Tuesday night at 9:40 pm.

Todd J. Curtis, 28 , of State Route 40 in Argyle, was operating a 2007 Nissan south on Blind Buck Road when he lost control of the vehicle, veered off the opposite side of the roadway and struck a power pole.

Curtis suffered a lower leg and foot injury and a passenger in the vehicle, Julie A. Brundige, 25, also of State Route 40 in Argyle, suffered facial injuries including a possible fractured nose caused by an airbag deployment. Both were transported to Bennington Hospital by Salem EMS.

The roadway was covered by ice and snow at the time and the accident is still under investigation. The power pole suffered minimal damage.
