INCIDENT SUMMARY: According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office arrested Theodus M. West, age 47, for multiple charges as they relate to a domestic dispute between himself and a female that he is acquainted with. On December 25th, 2022 West was charged with Burglary in the First Degree, a Class B Felony, Aggravated Criminal Contempt, a Class D Felony, Aggravated Family Offense, a Class E Felony, Assault in the Third Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor, Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor and three (3) counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a Class A Misdemeanor; after an investigation determined that West entered the residence of a female he is acquainted with and during the course of a domestic dispute, physically struck the female and caused physical injury while she was holding a child in her arms.
West fled the residence on foot but was located a short time later and was taken into custody.
