INCIDENT SUMMARY: According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office arrested Kody L. Dean, (34) of the Town of Hampton for Failure to Properly Register as a Sex Offender (1st Offense), a Class E Felony after a joint investigation by the Sheriff’s Office and New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision. Dean is alleged to have been found in the possession of multiple email accounts that were not registered as required by stipulations of the Sex Offender Registry. Dean is currently on Parole in New York State. Dean was released on an Appearance Ticket and is due to answer the charge in the Town of Hampton Court at a later date.
