INCIDENT SUMMARY: According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office arrested Kayla M. Ricciardone, age 27, for Welfare Fraud in the Third Degree, a Class D Felony, Grand Larceny in the Third Degree, a Class D Felony, and Offering a False Instrument for Filing in the First Degree, a Class E Felony, after a joint investigation with Washington County Department of Social Services and the Washington County Sheriff’s Office. As a result of the investigation, it was determined that Ricciardone, filed a false instrument with the Washington County Department of Social Services to obtain benefits that she was not eligible for, resulting in her receiving benefits greater than $3000.00. Ricciardone was released after arraignment pending a future court date in the Town of Fort Edward Court.
