[ARCHIVED] Hudson Falls man injured in Fort Ann accident

INCIDENT SUMMARY: According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy, on Thursday January 20, 2022 the Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to State Route 4 in the Town of Fort Ann (just north of the Village) for a report of a vehicle vs. tractor trailer accident with injuries. 

 

Deputies arrived and located the driver of a Ford F-150, Vincent E. Brown, 37, of Burgoyne Avenue in Hudson Falls. Brown had been northbound on State Route 4 when he crossed out of his lane and into the path of a southbound tractor trailer. 

 

The driver of the tractor-trailer was identified as Mubark B. Elnimari, 45, of 21st Avenue in Rock Island, Illinois. He told Deputies that he was traveling south on Route 4 when the pick-up crossed into his lane causing a collision. Elnimari was uninjured in the crash.

 

Brown was transported to the Glens Falls Hospital with possible serious injuries including a head injury.  

 

Alcohol is being investigated as a possible factor in the accident.  A portion of Route 4 was closed for just over 2 hours while the accident was being cleared.
